Tina Brown, elementary Spanish teacher at the Glover Elementary School, has started to integrate iPads into her Spanish lessons and the results are amazing!

Señora Brown created a project where 3rd grade students were asked to 1) draw a picture of an animal, 2) write a first person dialogue from the point of view of the animal using at least three adjectives,  3) record the animal describing itself using ChatterPix Kids, and 4) share their video with their classmates.

Señora Brown created the following "App Task Card" as a way to provide the 3rd grade students with the lesson directions.  App Task Cards are a great way to display the steps to a project, especially when images are included to show a picture of the app being used in a lesson.  App Task Cards can be displayed on an interactive whiteboard and they can be printed out for students to check off the steps as they complete them.

Below is a student example of the 3rd Grade Spanish Animal Project using ChatterPix Kids.

It has been a fun experience to collaborate with the elementary Spanish teachers as they integrate technology into the Spanish classroom! Keep your eye out for more exciting projects to come!
